Recognized authority in exposure science, environmental epidemiology, and industrial hygiene expands the firm's Health Sciences practice

Bringing more than 15 years of scientific consulting and research experience, Ryan Lewis, M.S., Ph.D., C.I.H., has returned to Ä¢¹½tv as a Principal Scientist in the Health Sciences practice in our Oakland office. Dr. Lewis is a public health scientist whose expertise and research spans exposure science, environmental epidemiology, and industrial hygiene. Most recently, he has been particularly active in evaluating the exposure and risk science of asbestos, talc, ethylene oxide, and potential endocrine-active chemicals.

"I am thrilled to be working again with the research-focused scientists and engineers at Ä¢¹½tv," said Dr. Lewis. "I look forward to bringing my commitment to technical excellence and subject matter expertise in addressing exposure and risk science questions on emerging chemicals. I am particularly passionate about mentoring the next generation of practitioners and celebrating their career growth and success."

His work focuses on assessing exposures and health effects at the individual and population levels, in occupational and non-occupational settings, and from consumer and industrial product use scenarios.

Dr. Lewis has published 32 peer-reviewed scientific papers, which have been cited more than 1,200 times. He is currently on the editorial board of Frontiers in Public Health and was formerly on the editorial board of two other scientific journals, Toxicology and Industrial Health and Journal of Toxicology and Environmental Health.
