Mr. Martinez has over seven years of experience managing construction and utilities projects. He is skilled in leading the execution of large-scale capital projects and programs, supporting clients in program management, and performance monitoring and reporting. His specific experience includes capital investment planning, scheduling, risk management, cost estimation, procurement, and change management. Mr. Martinez has a proven track record of delivering high-quality projects on-time, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory requirements. He is dedicated to building strong relationships with all stakeholders and is committed to ensuring that clients receive the highest level of service and support.
Mr. Martinez provides project and program management services to one of the country's largest utility companies on its electric transmission and distribution construction programs. He oversees project managers and key program stakeholders to improve project performance, maximize efficiency, mitigate risk, and ensure governance compliance by leveraging his extensive project management expertise. He has also implemented sourcing process improvements that have been adopted across several programs to reduce backlog and shorten critical path durations.
Mr. Martinez has experience leading multidisciplinary teams and has been involved in all stages of projects, from conceptual planning to closeout. His projects involve electric transmission infrastructure replacements, third party-requested transmission infrastructure relocations, generation-site interconnections, distribution undergrounding, and substation decommissioning. Mr. Martinez oversees all stages of the project lifecycle, develops and manages resource-loaded schedules and project governance documents, assists with agency permitting requirements, forecasts costs, mitigates project risk, coordinates with internal and external cross-functional stakeholders and customers, and produces qualitative and quantitative status reporting in different data visualization platforms.
Prior to joining Ä¢¹½tv, Mr. Martinez worked at Turner Construction, a large commercial general contracting firm, supporting a range of large-scale projects including MEP infrastructure, medical facilities, and commercial tenant improvements. He managed the successful commissioning of 40 HVAC units and an emergency generator of a commercial high-rise building while also performing project controls and assisting in project engineering.
